Burn Pile & Feed Pile Construction

•••••When we work on a property and are instructed to create a burn pile with the material, rest assured that we do not throw it into a large heaping mound. A poorly constructed burn pile is not only unmanageable, but dangerous. We create a primarily burn pile first, neatly stacked at regulation size, 4' x 4' x 4'. The remaining material is organized into a "feed pile." A feed pile is created by laying all the branches in the same direction near the primary burn pile. We keep in mind that this material will at some point be pulled off to feed an existing fire. The feed pile is only 4 foot tall so it’s easy to grab a branch from the top. When it comes time to burn, feeding your fire is as simple as pulling a branch from the top of the feed pile, throwing it on the fire, and pulling the next branch from the top. No hassles with tangled and strewn messes. It's all done with convenience and efficiency in mind.
At times, I do burns for clients on their property. I only burn on permitted "burn-days" and I ONLY burn when it is actively raining all day. I can burn the greenest and freshest cut material IN THE
RAIN!!!
Why??? When it is raining, the risk of starting an unwanted fire is zero because everything is drenched. If you have need of scheduling a burn on your property, please contact me and we can discuss this further. There are ways to safely burn on your property with zero risk when done correctly. The debris being burnt can even be freshly cut.
